UC-232A USB to RS232 Converter

Specifically designed for newer Laptop computers that don't have a built in RS232 serial port, the UC-232A converts one USB port into a full blown RS232 serial port, which supports hardware handshaking and a maximum transfer rate of 230k BAUD. This allows you to use your newer laptop computer with dataTakers using RS232 serial communications. The UC-232A can also be used where an additional RS232 port is needed, if your computer has unused USB ports.

An installation CD is supplied with the UC-232A, which provides the correct driver for your operating system. The new serial port simply appears an additional COM3 or COM4 which is accessible by any software that uses RS232 ports. DeTransfer and DeLogger both fully support this device. The UC-232A is plug and play compatible, and is powered directly from the computer via the USB connection. The UC-232A works with Windows 98, 2000, ME and Macintosh OS 8.5.1 or later.
