Hi guys, the new forum looks great, well done.

The old forum PAQ & A posts were a vast resource and hugely helpful in configuring & programming my DT800.
My question is did do keep the old forum online somewhere / anywhere that we can still access in read only mode?
All the dumb questions I need to ask when I go to do new things with the DT800 were already answered, I don't think that I will not be able to make as good a use of my DT800 going forward without this resource.

Cheers

Hi Ben,

The forum was changed out of necessity because our old web host had failed to maintain a working service. We had no option but to move our website to another provider. Unfortunately due to this our old forum software is no longer supported by our current platform and cannot be exported to a more friendly format.

I am able to send to you a transcript of the DT800 section of the website. If you would like this then please send me a message with your email address (don't post your email address in the forum) and I can send it to you. Please be aware that it is not a very convenient format, but can be searched for keywords.

Dear Kade,

I understand perfectly the problem upgrading the old forum, but I think that avoiding the lost of years of knowledge exchange between forum members is at least advisable.
My suggestion is to have online a PDF print of each section of the old forum. Via integrated search engine is then possible to retrieve the desired information.

Let us know.

Good afternoon Teo,

We tried very hard to work out a way to import the old data but it is just not possible. (Believe me if we could have we would have.)
And no we can't get the old database and put in in a PDF for the same technical reasons.

So let start asking questions and we will soon have the board populated with great questions and good answers.

Cheers

Hi All,

I have extracted some of the old forum data and have been able to put together some scripts which will allow you to browse (not search) the old forum content.

It is located here --> http://www.datataker.com/forumArchive.php

At this point I do not plan on adding any more content or search facility to this archived database.
