GPRS users with DT8* loggers - anyone?

Postby bilinQ8 » Fri Oct 05, 2012 1:30 am

Hi All,

Long time since I've had anything to do with DT's (5 years) but am now getting itchy feet and looking to start some remote logging in the future.

I'm interested in using GPRS in order to have continuous data (every 1 to 10 minutes) sent to a receive PC Server from a network of loggers - most likely DT82EM.

Has anyone had success using GPRS? I did a search and came up empty.

Kind regards,

Good morning bilinQ8,

What do you want to know?
The DT8xM loggers have an integrated modem that uses GPRS to connect to the network and give you full internet access.
if you take a look at the section in the DT8x manual integrated Modem on page 200 of the current manual (UM-0085-B7) it explains how to set up the DT8xM range.

Cheers

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into the manual and do some research then contact you when I have some questions...

Assuming business doesn't get discussed on the Forum can you contact me off list? No rush.

Thanks and regards,
