Ethernet malfunction

Postby skv8016 » Fri Oct 31, 2014 2:50 am

Good day,

DT82E with beta firmware has been working well last 3 years(ignore SDI12 events, it's problems with flowmeter)
But Logger have had problems with ethernet connection last 6-7 months. It lose connection once or twice a week(Shedules are working without problems)
All is ok after Hardware Reboot(Power reset)

I didn't find any ways for automatic reestablishment of ethernet connection.

Can you recommend me the ways to solve a problem?

Hi Kirill,

It is possible the Ethernet sockets are not properly close during external access and it will caused the sockets are in waiting status (limbo).
If all sockets are in waiting status, you will not be able to access the logger.

ID Type TCPState LocalIP Port RemoteIP Port
040cb624: 5 UDP active any 7700 any 0
040cd8d8: 7 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64824
040cda7c: 8 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64822
040cdc20: 9 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64823
040ce2b0: 13 TCP EST 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64834
040ce79c: 16 TCP LISTEN any 80 any 0
040cf174: 22 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64833
040cf318: 23 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64831
040cf4bc: 24 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64825
040cf660: 25 TCP TWAIT 10.118.2.53 80 10.118.1.1 64832

Please check any devices that access this logger and caused this limbo status.
Other solution is upgrading to 9.10 version and activating watchdog feature to check socket status.

Best regards,
Rudy
